How It All Started
My name is Bastien Daumas, and I’ve been working as a freelance English-French translator for over 5 years. It all started with a simple idea—something born out of frustration but also a spark of curiosity.
I had begun integrating ChatGPT into my workflow, particularly for speeding up MTPE projects. The accuracy and context that ChatGPT provided really made a difference, helping me improve productivity in ways I had never imagined. But as great as it was, something was missing.

The Realization
Every time I wanted to leverage the power of AI for pre-translating content, I found myself manually copying, pasting, and adjusting content before I could get it into my CAT tool of choice, MemoQ. It was time-consuming and cumbersome… Far from the seamless process I envisioned.
I kept thinking, “Why isn’t there an easy way to automate this?” That’s when the idea hit me: why not build the tool myself? A tool that could pre-translate files, preserve context accuracy, and effortlessly integrate with MemoQ or other CAT tools.
Our Developer
To make this dream a reality, I knew I needed help. Someone with the technical expertise to bring my vision to life. That’s when I hired Andrii Nasadchuk, a talented developer from Kiev, Ukraine. Andrii was not only brilliant but also shared my enthusiasm for the project.
Together, we set out to build LangBoost, a platform that would take the frustration out of pre-translation and make life easier for freelance translators like me.

The Problem With Current Solutions
The problem was clear: current machine translation engines like Google Translate and DeepL don’t keep context, preserve formatting tags, or ensure consistent terminology.
LangBoost changes all of that by fully automating the pre-translation process, saving time and improving accuracy by retaining full context throughout.

Where We Are Today
Today, LangBoost is helping freelance translators, agencies, and anyone else working with multilingual projects simplify their workflows.
We are currently in the beta phase and always looking for improvements, with a long roadmap ahead. We plan on adding a keyword option (for SEO articles), a term base option, along with other features to better customize the outputs.
